This victory propelled Como to 65 points, moving them past Roma into fifth place in the Italian top-flight standings. Roma, with 64 points, still have a game in hand. Under his guidance, the club is experiencing one of its best campaigns in modern history.
On the other hand, Verona remains deep in relegation trouble. With only 20 points, they sit 19th in the table and have already been mathematically relegated, losing any chance of staying in Serie A for the next season.
With two matches remaining in the Serie A season, both teams have limited opportunities to change their fortunes. For Como, the focus is on securing a high finish and possibly European qualification, while Verona must come to terms with their drop to the second division.
