Bea González and Paula Josemaría sent another strong warning in the battle for women’s padel supremacy. The Spanish pair rallied from a set down to defeat Gemma Triay and Delfi Brea in the final of the Ueno Bank Asunción Premier Padel P2, winning 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 and securing their fourth consecutive tournament victory.

The final started in favor of Triay and Brea, who capitalized on early hesitation from their opponents to strike first and close out the opening set. As world number ones with eleven straight finals appearances, they seemed to have the match under control with their trademark steady rhythm and solidity.

However, Bea and Paula turned the match around just in time. They raised their intensity, quickened the pace, and began asserting far more aggression at the net. From that point, the dynamic of the encounter shifted completely.

Bea’s special bond with Asunción once again came to the fore. The Malaga native delivered another brilliant performance in Paraguay, where she remains undefeated in all Premier Padel editions played there. Remarkably, she has achieved this feat with different partners, underscoring her unique connection to the Paraguayan capital.

Josemaría also stepped up at crucial moments, particularly in defense and transition, neutralizing the early dominance of Triay and Brea. The duo grew stronger as the match progressed, ultimately taking control with authority in the final two sets.

The victory carries immense symbolic weight in the race for the number one ranking. Bea and Paula once again edged out Triay and Brea in a final—just as they did in Brussels, Newgiza, and Miami—adding more pressure to the FIP Race standings.

With Bea González earning the MVP award, Asunción wrapped up a record-breaking week at the Ueno COP Arena, where over 30,000 spectators enjoyed world-class padel, highlighting the international growth of the circuit.
